Just 3km outside Port Augusta is the ARID LANDS BOTANICAL GARDENS, and as this is a short driving day, we take a guided tour and have lunch there too!
here is a small taster of of the garden they have created from native Australian plants.
Back on the road again…..keeping watch for Skippy, cows , sheep, emus…….

Arrive in Woomera, in time to walk to the famous museum, along near deserted streets lined with many different sorts of gum trees . Tried to buy post cards of the rockets, but the PO is not open in the mornings !!
