A very warm greeting from Cousin Brian, who has lived in Australia since he was 16 and a half ! That was 1949.
He and my Mum kept in touch by Skype, and I kept in touch with him by Skype, but it was nothing to the fantastic welcome we got when we arrived in Adelaide.
Thanks to Brian and to Mick who did all the chefing, chauffeuring and bottle washing !!
Us on the beach at Moana….bit breezy !
We called in at a friends house for coffee, and to admire her plants……so jealous of the wide range they can grow here.
Met our first “Skippy” just down the road, this one was munching on a golf course….
Dave doing tree hugging
We went out for a surprise picnic, organised by Mick, but as it was still a bit blowy, he managed to find this shelter for all us oldies…..
We drove on to this lake with a dam, where we saw parrots and eagles, and failed to photograph either.
Finally a farewell to Brian, we will see you on Skype again soon, I promise XXX
And Farewell to Mick, who kindly accompanied us on the first bit of our journey….to a shopping centre !!
