Leaving Coober Pedy was hard, it was a fascinating, if slightly “wild west” style town…..once you got used to it, we liked it very much.
Possibly a wedge tailed eagle? was sitting on this sign as we left…
Back on the road to Erldunda, with some serious road warnings, there were many versions of this, but DROWSY DRIVERS DIE just seemed SO Australian to us !
Mulga tree and Ant hill
Trucks ! …….or Road Trains as they say on the bit that hits you first…..

Selfie as we cross into the Northern Territory
Popped around the back for a selfie going the other way !!

Road………
We were not going to make to Erldunda before sunset, so we stopped and took these at a truck pull in
Erldunda at last, and for a roadhouse, a very nice surprise, all clean and tidy, and fabulous veggie food…(Dave had the beef pie) .the staff were great and very helpful the added bonus a park on the side with Emus, Kangaroos and a small camel. The roadhouse also boasted a sunset viewing platform !!!
