Dongara to Moora 13/05/2018

As we spent a long time on the road yesterday, we treat ourselves to a walk along the beach.

As we approach the beach there is the most awful smell…….the things we thought were rock pools are actually lots of rotting sea grass….and its difficult to negotiate our way to the sand…..but we do get there and its wonderful beach….very interesting….The campsite owner says that the sea-grass compost gets washed out to sea during the winter and it fertilizes the new sea-grass beds…..

I think this is the epitome of an Australian tree…… I am assuming its a eucalyptus or Acacia of some sort?
