We needed to stop for a picnic lunch…….this seemed a good place, in the end it was nearly dusk before we left !!

These two joined us for lunch…..but were far too busy rooting through leaves to investigate any food we had….

This is a representation of the coolamon bowl used by the Aboriginal people, they are used to carry, food or fuel and can be balanced on the head, using a ring of grass underneath. This is ch larger than any others we saw.

Grass tree……..grow about 1mm per year…….this one was VERY old..as its bark and textured underleave shows.

Koala enclosure…….we were in the wrong area to see koalas in the wild, but these looked well cared for as they snoozed in the trees and the scent of the eucalyptus was almost overwhelming
